How sad that Dr. Jamie of Dr. Jamie's events has taken to fighting another staple of Toronto life. After his libelous and possibly life threatening assault on Spadina street barker Terry Ross he now turns his venomous attention to Reg Hart and his Cineforum. Publicly boasting in how his consistent calls to make sure Mr. Hart was shut down. The question is why was Dr. Jamie doing this? The answer is that they both used the same advertising space. Dr. Jamie didn't like competing even though Reg was always trying to offer a resolution. It's a shame that such a vile, putrid man was able to destroy a valued part of the Toronto cityscape in the name of greed and petty vindictiveness.

In the fall of 2009 posters appeared all over the downtown core of Toronto from Bloor Street to Queen Street, from Bathurst to Yonge stating: TERRY ROSS IS A RAT (video).
Those of us who know Terry knew that that declaration was a lie.
Many who did not assumed the statement to be true.
The effect of these posters was particularly virulent on Queen Street between University and Bathurst where Terry Ross could be seen daily passing out flyers for King Textiles at the southwest corner of Queen and Spadina, beside the Toronto Dominion Bank.
Who is Terry Ross?
Well, he is a small man who has had a pretty rough life who is doing his best to build a new one. In the eyes of many on the street he is doing a good job at it.
Who put up these posters?
Why was this being done?
The street has a million eyes. The people who regularly panhandle on Queen Street West have known Terry Ross for years.
They knew that when Terry was physically assaulted by Jamie Gillis of Dr. Jamie's Events postering company and Dr. Jamie's Bicycles while handing out flyers at Atlas Surplus on Queen West he had refused to file charges against Dr. Jamie even though Terry had impeccable witnesses (including a police officer). Terry had to go the hospital the beating was so severe.
Why would he not file charges?
Because, in his mind, to go to the police would make him a rat in the eyes of those he shares the street with.
The posters declaring Terry a rat had appeared much earlier. On them was a statement that Dan, the red-haired man who used to sell street papers in front of the Horseshoe Tavern, had seen Terry talking to undercover police officers.
Dan told Dr. Jamie that if the posters did not stop at once he would file charges as the statement was false.
Dan died in 2009. Shortly after his death the campaign against Terry Ross was remounted with a vengeance.
I sent the video evidence you are seeing above of this outrage to city officials.
It was then that the complaint against The Cineforum was lodged.
Dr. Jamie, according to the above post to the article in NOW magazine, CURTAINS AT THE CINEFORUM, is now boasting that he killed The Cineforum.
Adam Vaughan, the councilor for this area, and the bureaucrats at city hall who refused to see the value in what was and is being done here were the gun. The finger that pulled the trigger, according to this post, belonged to Dr. Jamie.
